Canada · self-employed banking planner

Separate the work money before optimizing the spending money.

Build a private operating plan around records, deposits, payments and tax obligations. Then—only if a dedicated business account is already in place—decide whether a separate personal prepaid spending companion deserves review.

Private separation plan

Give every dollar one job.

Do not enter a name, account number, revenue, tax balance, client, business number or transaction. These bounded choices stay in your browser.

Browser-private · fixed aggregate stages only
This means the account used for business income, expenses and operating payments.
Your next safe move

General planning only—not tax, legal or financial advice. CRA and the provider's current agreements control. The planner does not calculate a tax reserve or decide whether GST/HST registration applies.

    Decision method

Choose by operating job, not promotional headline.

The useful account is the one that supports the transactions, records and controls your real business requires.

    01 · operate

    Map money movement

List deposits, transfers, bill payments, payroll, cash, cheques, wires and user controls. Compare current agreements and total monthly cost.

    02 · document

    Keep supportable records

Maintain income, expense and source records that connect each transaction to the business activity it supports.

    03 · reserve

    Use actual obligations

Do not copy a universal tax percentage. Base reserves on the business's actual tax situation and current professional or CRA guidance.

Corrected August 14, 2026: the prior page's 2025 ranking, corrupted dollar figures and payment terms, unsupported tax percentages, false KOHO business-banking claim, invented bonus code, stale rates and pre-consent Google tracking were removed. KOHO is presented only as a narrowly gated personal prepaid companion after a dedicated business operating account already exists.
