Register + fund chequing
Open and fund an eligible Wealthsimple chequing account with at least $1 to start with 500 entries.
Save or transfer
Earn 1 entry for every $1 of eligible net deposits or institutional account transfers completed in the contest window.
Refer a friend
Each successful September referral earns 100,000 entries. The referrer must hold at least $100 in net deposits and the new client must fund at least $100 during the window.
Move your paycheque
A qualifying direct deposit doubles your total entries. The September cap is 300,000 entries.

Is a purchase or deposit required to enter?
No. Wealthsimple provides a no-purchase method in the official rules. Funding, transfers, referrals, direct deposit and the daily coin spin are ways to earn additional entries.
Do withdrawals reduce entries?
Entries use eligible net deposits: money in minus withdrawals. Transfers between your Wealthsimple accounts and ordinary payments such as prepaid-card spending, bill payments, Wealthsimple Visa payments and pre-authorized debits are listed as exempt withdrawals.
Can an existing Wealthsimple client enter?
Yes. The contest is available to eligible new and existing clients. Registration and an open funded chequing account are required for the standard entry path.
How will I know if I won?
Wealthsimple says participants can check the app or web account every Thursday evening, and winners also receive an email. A skill-testing question and declaration are required before a prize is awarded.
Is the $25 referral bonus guaranteed?
No. It depends on a valid referral relationship, eligibility, qualifying external funding, timing and account status. Wealthsimple makes the final decision.
