Corrections

We publish our mistakes.

Most sites fix errors quietly and hope nobody noticed. Bremo runs on trust, and trust does not survive quiet edits. Every error that reaches a live page is logged here: the date, what was wrong, and what we did about it. Newest first. Entries are never deleted.

The log

July 16, 2026

Doubled zeros in dollar figuresabout 1,600 pages

What was wrong

A faulty bulk edit, made on or before July 8, corrupted dollar figures across roughly 1,600 pages by doubling zeros inside the numbers. Affected pages showed amounts larger than the real offers. The corrupted figures stayed live for over a week before we caught them on July 16. On a site whose entire job is publishing accurate dollar amounts, this is the worst kind of error we can make, and it is the first entry in this log for a reason.

What we did

Found and fixed it the same day, July 16. Because the corruption was mechanical, it could be reversed deterministically: every affected figure was restored by reversing the original edit, not re-typed by hand, so the fix could not introduce new typos. We also stood up an automated monitor that rechecks figures across the site every 30 minutes, so this class of error now gets caught in minutes instead of days.

Broken button on an offer page

What was wrong

A button on one of our offer pages did nothing when clicked. Visitors who wanted to act on the offer pressed it and went nowhere.

What we did

Fixed it on July 16, the same day we found it. The button now goes where it says it goes.

Missing calls to actionabout 3,200 pages

What was wrong

A countdown timer tied to an April promotion had expired, and instead of removing itself cleanly it hid the calls to action around it. Roughly 3,200 pages were left with no working button for readers who wanted to act on what they were reading.

What we did

Restored the missing calls to action across all affected pages on July 15.

How this log works

  • Any error that reaches a live page and affects what a reader sees or can do qualifies for an entry: wrong figures, broken links and buttons, missing content, misleading dates.
  • Entries say what actually went wrong, in plain language, including how long it was wrong when we know.
  • Entries are dated and listed newest first, and we do not delete them.
  • The verification and monitoring that feed this log are described in the editorial policy.
