Submitting this intake does not create a lawyer-client relationship. We act as a legal document preparation service and a referral hub. For complex matters we route you to a vetted lawyer in our directory.

Common questions

Is a POA legally valid in my province?

Yes. Every POA we draft is reviewed against your province's legislation (Substitute Decisions Act in Ontario, Power of Attorney Act in BC, similar in every province). The format meets statutory witness requirements.

Continuing vs non-continuing, which do I need?

Continuing means the POA stays in effect if you become mentally incapable. Most people want continuing. We ask in the intake form so you do not have to guess.

Can I revoke the POA later?

Yes, at any time, in writing, while you have capacity. We email a revocation template free if you ever need it.

Do I need a lawyer for this?

A lawyer is recommended for high-value estates or complex family situations. For a straightforward POA, our document is the same form a lawyer would draft, at a fraction of the cost. Choose the Featured tier in the /lawyers directory if you want a lawyer to review.
